The Australian willow quickly grows into a medium size evergreen tree with a rounded form, 20-35 ft. tall, 20-30 ft. wide. Foliage is comprised of narrow pale green leaves that hang downward from branches to create a weeping character. Australian willow is native to warm and dry interior regions of Australia where annual rainfall varies between 6-15 in. and long periods of drought are common. It is a good garden tree for its shade and graceful foliage character; it is also planted as a street tree.
