Native to parts of Eastern Asia, Quercus serrata is a rare, deciduous oak with long, narrow, toothed, dark green leaves which turn a lovely burnt gold color in autumn before falling. The secondary flush (lammas) of growth in summer is silvery-green, turning dark green as it ages. Quercus serrata is a fascinating garden tree with a majestic habit and great autumn color once established.
